The Angel of the Lord

Castiel's story in supernatural started when he retrieved Dean Winchester from the bowels of hell. He introduces himself to Dean by saying, " I'm the one who gripped you tight and saved you from the predition".

He fell down, as a messenger and a soldier of the God. As a soldier, he thought it is his bounden duty to follow the commands and walk through the path created by the God.

Eventually,he started contemplating about humans, their emotions, their efforts to make things better,  and love towards their family.All these started creating a subtlely unusual impact on him. Of course, he took time to understand, but since most of the time he used to be with the Winchesters, they taught him what family is, what feelings are, and told him that " Family doesn't end in blood and it doesn't start there either" . There could be no better practical example other than their own life which made Castiel understand how a human's life is filled with love, sorrow ,pain, repentance, commitment, endeavour and triumphs. They showed him how a life can be beautiful and awful at the same time for different people.

The relationship between Castiel and the Winchesters grew much and much stronger by fighting hardships, making sacrifices for each other and sharing triumphs and happiness together ,as a family.They always used to stick with each other through thick and thin.

They were a bundle of joy, all together.

There were some situations where the Winchester brothers misunderstood Castiel but he never gave upon the brothers .He was there for them, listening to their prayers and responding to them even when there were not in good terms. The brothers used to take time to overcome those misunderstandings but finally they would come together as a happy family all again.

Many people misunderstood him, criticized him based on his actions without understanding the circumstances he was put into.Of course , in some situations he made mistakes by choosing wrong paths. But he never did anything wrong, intentionally. He was just trying to help, which would unfortunately end up into mess most of the times .His innocence was taken for granted.People used him as their weapons. They diverted him to the wrong path.Castiel had almost given upon himself for hurting the brothers. He thought whatever he contributes to make things clear or do better, would somehow end up into chaos. He lost his path, he lost himself.

In all this time of ups and downs, unintentional mistakes and chaos, he had done one accurate thing , that is making his place in one fine family , the Winchester brothers.He made his place in the Impala.

The brothers dint give upon him, they knew their angel friend Castiel very well.They always made sure to be there for him. They would happily die for each other.

Finally, Castiel grasped lessons from all his mistakes. He rebelled against the bad.

Saving lives, saving Earth, saving heaven ,saving the Winchester brothers; he has played a major role in all these circumstances.

Yes, he is Castiel, the angel of the Lord.
